The specialist in managing work accident files ensures the administrative processing of files related to incidents, accidents, and occupational diseases. They are responsible for opening, monitoring, and updating the files, in compliance with legal requirements and the organization's internal policies. They work closely with health and wellness advisors.
Responsibilities:
- Opening claims following a work accident in various commissions across Canada;
- Data collection and writing comments;
- Contribute to the management of medical-legal cases, requests for medical expertise, and various logistics and follow-ups with commissions and medical clinics;
- Contribute to the management of claims for occupational hearing loss;
- Support the hearing health program across Canada (logistics, appointment scheduling, study, etc.);
- Opening mail, scanning, and recording documents in IMS, VIP (declarations, medical certificates, accident reports, etc.);
- Supporting the team in receiving emails for salary insurance claims;
- Other administrative tasks, such as monthly absence tables, hearing loss reports, statistics, etc.
Requirements:
- DEC in Legal Technology;
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations or any other related field would be an asset;
- Relevant experience in administrative management or occupational health and safety is an asset.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations related to work accidents (e.g., WCB, CNESST, WSIB, etc.);
- Proficiency in office tools (Microsoft Office Suite);
- Rigor, organizational skills, discretion, and autonomy;
- Excellent written and oral bilingual communication skills (French and English).
