Under the supervision of the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, the Material and Logistics Coordinator will work closely with various business units, including the Planning, Maintenance, and Quality teams, as well as the Internal Projects Production team. The candidate will also collaborate closely with the Inventory Management department and will serve as the primary liaison between the parts warehouse and the production line.

Responsabilities

  • Ensures that reused materials are properly organized and delivered, while making sure their usage is optimized; 
  • Inspects and monitors the contents of kits and their arrangement and generally ensures the efficient movement and distribution of materials along the production line;
  • Responsible for the proper storage of materials in the yard;
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement activities related to materials and the warehouse;
  • Supports and promotes 5S principles within their area of responsibility. 


Requirements

  • DVC (Diploma of Vocational Studies) or DEC (Diploma of College Studies) in a related field;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in material planning or management within a production environment;
  • Bilingual in spoken and written communication;
  • Proficient with computer systems;
  • Knowledge of inventory management in the railway sector is an asset;
  • Experience related to parts repair is a definite asset;
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English, spoken and written;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent customer service and results-oriented attitude;
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to multitask, energetic and versatile;
  • Experience working within a procurement team to achieve goals and complete team projects;
  • Initiative in problem-solving and strong organizational and planning abilities;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel;
  • Experience in procurement using ERP systems such as Oracle or IBM Maximo is an asset.
