VIA Rail Canada Inc., a leader in passenger rail transportation in the country, is seeking a Concierge for its Montreal Maintenance Centre.
We are looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented and service‑focused individual to ensure a clean, safe, and well‑maintained environment for our employees.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the cleanliness of the premises and restock paper, soap, and other supplies.
- Empty ashtrays and garbage bins in offices, workshops, and washrooms; replace bags and take out the waste.
- Vacuum carpets; clean and wash floors; dust desks; and clean walls, ceilings, windows, and ashtrays using appropriate methods.
- Clean:
- offices
- washrooms (men and women)
- dining rooms
- employee locker rooms (men and women)
- foremen’s dining area
- entrances and corridors
- employee cafeteria in the warehouse
- first aid room
- Sweep the warehouse and all workshops.
- Clean truck ramps and clear entrances.
- Dust desks and filing cabinets.
SCHEDULE
Day or evening availability required.
(We have one day shift position to fill (6 a.m.–2 p.m.) and one evening shift position (1 p.m.–9 p.m.).)
SALARY
$30.07/hour
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma and relevant experience.
- Ability to work at heights (up to 3 meters / 10 feet) using a stepladder.
Must be able to:
- Work safely with cleaning chemicals;
- Lift and move loads of 35 kg (75 lb);
- Carry work equipment and supplies.
