As a PCO, you’ll play a strategic role in supporting project managers, ensuring the successful delivery of multiple initiatives through expert financial oversight, planning, and advisory support.
What You’ll Do
- Financial Oversight: Monitor and control project finances including accruals, forecasts, budgets, and invoicing.
- Cycle Management: Ensure timely delivery of monthly financial project management cycles.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement and Accounts Payable on change requests and invoicing.
- Project Tracking: Oversee progress reports and maintain project logs (approvals, risks, issues, resources, etc.).
- Project Initiation: Support project start-up activities including drafting business plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Performance Analysis: Assess project progress and support mitigation strategies with project and portfolio managers.
- Advisory Role: Guide project teams on standards, methodologies, templates, and tools.
- Project Closure: Facilitate lessons learned and administrative close-out activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, administration, or management.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in project control.
- PMI certification (CAPM or PMP) is an asset.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Project Online, Power BI, and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of cost tracking, project planning, and PMBOK methodologies.
- Experience with Oracle’s project costing modules is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required.
