VIA Rail is looking for a senior accounting Clerk- the main will be:
Process all categories of invoices for payment.
Ensure that the proper authorization has been received for invoices not related to a purchase order in accordance with the Delegated Authority Matrix of VIA's FPPA manual.
Process expense reports.
Process refunds of tuition fees.
Reconcile, analyze and correct general ledger accounts and/or sub-ledgers.
Actively participate in month-end and fiscal year-end processes.
Possibility of providing training to new collegues.
Participate in projects and in the development of new initiatives with the collaboration of the supervisor and the analysts.
Replace and help the Senior Accounting Clerk, Creation of Suppliers and Issuance of Payments.
Other tasks related to the processing of accounts payable.
This position is permanent and unionized with possible layoff.
Monday to Friday- 8:00-16h30 ( flexibility between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm)
Salary : 28.08$/h
Diploma of Collegial Studies in Accounting (DCS), or Diploma of Vocational Studies in Accounting (DVS), or Attestation of Collegial Studies in Accounting (ACS)
3 to 5 years of experience with account reconciliations and analysis in the Revenue and/or accounts payable section
Bilingual, french and english.
