Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Project Engineer leads engineering activities to ensure interoperability between locomotives, passenger cars (new and existing), and digital connectivity systems. He/she oversees the integration of rolling stock and digital platforms, manages technical interfaces, and serves as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams and suppliers.
•Lead the integration and validation of interfaces between rolling stock and digital systems
•Coordinate design reviews, testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities related to interoperability
•Ensure compliance with operational, regulatory, and safety requirements
•Verify that all interoperable systems meet established specifications
Required Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems), member of the OIQ.
•10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in project engineering (transportation/rail industry an asset).
•Ability to make decisions and influence within a matrix organization.
•Experience in systems integration and interoperability.
•Strong leadership and excellent bilingual communication skills (English/French).
•Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Teams, and SharePoint.
•PMP certification (an asset).
