Under the supervision of the Specialist Director, Infrastructure, this person will provide support for operational projects, preparation and monitoring of work. They will also be in charge of implementing safety, hygiene and environmental aspects for projects of the Fixed Assets Management (FAM) department.

Their involvement, both in the office and in the field, will be mainly related to the monitoring and improvement of railway infrastructures, maintenance centers and stations. The responsibility will also include the cross-functional management of projects within the department which would include developing the need, project scope and work with consultants and contractors in order to realize and follow the project in the field.

 

Responsibilities:

Ensure the management, planning, progress, rigorous oversight and delivery of projects:

  • Responsible for operational project management and HSE contracts;
  • Responsible for coordinating HSE projects in relation to FAM team projects;
  • Coordinates projects for other FAM teams related to risk, operation, environment or maintenance aspects;
  • Responsible for monitoring activities in terms of quality, cost, deadlines and monitoring objectives;
  • Provide support for technical expertise and participate in the resolution of problems related to the operation;
  • Consolidate performance with the creation and execution of processes for PO / SOF / invoices;
  • Ensure the operational feasibility of projects or works while respecting operational constraints and make recommendations;
  • Lead work or site monitoring meetings with internal or external stakeholders;
  • Assist with the review of incidents/accidents;
  • Follow-up on actions and correctives measures following investigations;
  • Ensure the definition of needs, follow the planning of the work planned by the various disciplines, and communicate with the stakeholders concerned (internal and/or external).

 

Conform to the methodologies in force, the deliverables for each phase and PMO templates:

  • Participate in the development of work contracts and projects to ensure quality and performance control without derogating from regulatory requirements;
  • Develop standards for documents, forms, software or programs;
  • Coordinate (reporting and project control) with the PMO and the PCO;
  • Establish indicators and integrate the results of field audits to help identify areas of maintenance strategy to improve;
  • Participates in safety initiatives and conducts investigations when incidents/accidents occur;
  • Participate in the development of wear prevention and prediction tools for HSE maintenance systems and make recommendations.

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in engineering related to maintenance;
  • Professional Engineers or PMP certified (an asset);
  • Specialized knowledge in the environment (an asset);
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in facility management;
  • Knowledge of project management;
  • Knowledge of operation on railway infrastructure (an asset);
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle for occasional business use;
  • May be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions;
  • Flexibility in work schedules to meet work deadline requirements.
