VIA Rail Canada Inc. is currently seeking Station Attendants and Ticket Counter Agents to join our team at Montréal Central Station, including Dorval Station.

Responsibilities

Passenger Service & Station Operations

  • Verify passenger tickets
  • Announce and provide information regarding train arrivals, departures, and delays
  • Assist passengers with special needs
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the station
  • Issue tickets and operate the ticket counter

Additional Operational Tasks

  • Handle luggage, parcels, and sports equipment
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Operate a motorized vehicle in confined areas
  • Load passenger baggage onto the train

Your Profile

Important Information

Work Schedule

You must be available to work:

  • A variable schedule, with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Shifts ranging from 4 to 10 hours
    • Starting as early as 5:00 a.m.
    • Ending as late as 11:30 p.m. or until train arrival in case of delays
  • Weekends and statutory holidays
  • Possible seasonal layoffs
  • Start date: April 13th, 2026

Salary

Between $27,48 to $31,80 per hour


Requirements

  • Strong communication skills in both English and French (spoken)
  • High school diploma
  • At least one year of customer service experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
