VIA Rail Canada Inc. is currently seeking Station Attendants to join our team at both Ste-Foy Station and Gare du Palais. Successful candidates will work at both locations and rotate between the duties of Station Attendant and Ticket Sales Agent.

Responsibilities
Passenger Service & Station Operations
- Create, modify, and manage reservations
- Verify tickets
- Provide information regarding train arrivals, departures, and delays
- Assist passengers with special needs
- Maintain the cleanliness of the station
Additional Operational Tasks
- Handle luggage, parcels, and sports equipment
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Operate a motor vehicle in confined areas
- Load supplies onto trains
Important Information About the Position
Work Location
- Gare du Palais
- Ste-Foy Station
(Rotation between both locations)
Work Schedule
- Variable schedule with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week
- Availability required on weekends and statutory holidays
- Shifts ranging from 4 to 10 hours
- Start as early as 4:30 a.m.
- End as late as 11:30 p.m. (or later in case of train delays)
- Possibility of layoffs depending on operational needs
Training
Mandatory training will begin on April 13th in Quebec City.
Successful completion of the training is required for employment.
Salary
$27,48 $ à $31,80 per hour
You’re the ideal candidate if you:
- Communicate clearly and with a positive attitude in both English and French (oral)
- Hold a high school diploma
- Have at least one year of customer service experience
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Are physically able to repeatedly handle loads of up to 23 kg
