General Worker - Passenger car cleaner

What we offer   

• Hourly wage: $34.36/hour   
• Shift premiums: evening ($1.50/hour), night ($2.00/hour)   
• Comprehensive benefits (medical and dental) and pension plan

• Uniforms and equipment provided (boots, safety glasses, helmet, gloves)   
• Free parking, locker rooms, showers, and cafeteria   
• 5 personal days and up to 10 sick days   

Your responsibilities   

• Clean interior and exterior of passenger railway cars  
• Vacuum, wash carpets, wipe down tables and seating areas  
• Clean and sanitize washrooms, showers, kitchen, windows
• Drain and refill potable water reservoirs  
• Drain wastewater retention tanks  
• Preform duties outdoors in various weather conditions  

What we’re looking for   

• Possess a High School Diploma  
• Valid driver's license required
• Experience in housekeeping, commercial cleaning or building maintenance  
• Ability to work various shifts (day, evening, night, weekends)   
• Physically capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)  
• Mechanical aptitudes is an asset  
• Strong focus on quality, results and efficiency  

Schedule   

• Permanent position (40 hours per week)   
• Variable schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)   
• Overtime available   

Work location   

• Vancouver Maintenance Center or Mission Maintenance Centre
