We’re looking for attendants to provide exceptional customer service at our Vancouver Station. In a truly collaborative working atmosphere, your role will be to warmly welcome travelers and meet their needs efficiently.

 

No day is the same as a Station Attendant. Schedules change according to train arrivals and departures, and tasks are varied. In a day, you’ll be able to give instructions to travelers, check tickets, help an elderly person board a car, lift large suitcases, and even drive a cart to move luggage (but don’t worry, we’ll give you training!)

What are the duties of Station Attendants in our stations?

•             Creating and modifying bookings.

•             Checking tickets.

•             Announcing and providing information on train arrivals, departures, or delays.

•             Assisting passengers with special needs.

•             Ensuring cleanliness throughout the station.

•             Handling luggage, packages, or sports equipment.

•             Working outdoors, regardless of the weather.

•             Driving motor vehicles in small spaces (training provided).

 

SEASONAL POSITION

 

SCHEDULE

You are available to work on:

• variable schedule including weekends and holidays

• shifts varying between 4 and 8 hours a day (beginning as early as 5:00 am and ending as late as midnight)

However, train delays may require working past 1:00 am or starting before 7 a.m.

 

 

TRAINING

You will follow a three-week training session which must be successfully completed before obtaining the position.

 

You must be available for one of those training sessions starting on: April 7th, 2025.

 

What are the requirements for this position?

•             Be available 20 hours/week guaranteed with the possibility of working up to 40 hours/week.

•             Be available for a variable schedule between 5:00 a.m. and midnight. (or until the train arrives) every day of the week, including weekends and public holidays.

•             Have a high school diploma.

•             Enjoy interacting with customers.

•             Be able to repetitively handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs or the equivalent of a large suitcase). Anyone can do it easily with the right technique.

•             Be able to speak English and French.

•             Have a valid driver’s license.
