VIA Rail Canada Inc. is currently seeking station and counter agents to work in Windsor. Agents will alternate between station duties and sales at the counter, ensuring passengers receive exceptional service in a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and modify reservations
  • Check tickets
  • Announce and provide information on train arrivals, departures, and delays
  • Assist passengers with special needs
  • Maintain station cleanliness

Additional tasks include:

  • Handle luggage, parcels, and sports equipment
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Operate motorized vehicles in tight spaces (training provided)
  • Load supplies onto trains

Important Information

Work Location: London Station (occasionally Windsor)
Training Start Date: March 16th 2026

Schedule:

  • Minimum guaranteed: 20 hours/week, including weekends and holidays
  • Shifts vary from 4 to 10 hours per day (starting as early as 6:30 AM and ending as late as 11:00 PM, depending on train delays)
  • Possibility of temporary layoffs

Salary:
$27.48 – $31.80 $/hour


Requirements

  • Communicate fluently in English and French (oral)
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
