As an Electrician for VIA Rail, you will perform your duties on locomotives and passenger 
cars, especially on our HVAC equipment. You will have to install, repair and replace electrical controls and panel boxes, test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits and conduct preventive maintenance programs. You will have the overall responsibilities of all our electrical equipment, including lighting and all HVAC systems. 

The position is permanent (40 hours per week guaranteed) and the work schedule may vary (day, evening, night, weekend, and holidays). 

Candidates must be available to work from Sunday to Thursday.

The work location is the Winnipeg Maintenance center.

 

What is in it for you ?

 

Hourly salary: $ 46.43 /h

 

Evening shift differential: $1.50/h

Night shift differential: $2.00/h

Requirements:

Completion of training as an Electrician 

Excellent teamwork skills 

Knowledge of HVAC systems.  

Possession of Red Seal
